Turning off background refresh (your phone’s insistence to update content on your apps whenever it can) will drain your battery life. iOS 11 has this option enabled (thanks Apple). Here’s how to turn it off:
- Open Settings
- Tap General
- Tap Background App Refresh
- Go through all your apps and turn off the ones that you don’t need to keep on.
