Here’s a quick and easy method to create a bookmarks in Acrobat Professional and Nuance PDF Pro.

Creating a Bookmark

  1. Using the Select tool Select, select the text to bookmark.
  2. Press CTRL + B.

The bookmark reference is created from the selected text. CLICK + DRAG the reference to arrange, demote, or promote the bookmark.

  1. Now I know I am getting old. For as long as I can remember those keystrokes were reserved for BOLD. Isn’t it a step backwards to have different programs do different things with their shortcut keys? Before you know it you will have to print with /PPR{Home}.{EndHome}AGQ

  2. Thanks, Diane, for the trip down Lotus 1-2-3 lane. If it’s any consolation, in any sensible editing program CTRL+B should bold (of course, Acrobat is supposed to be a Layout program, not an editor). Thanks again, and (quid pro quo) “ESC, TRANSFER, SAVE”
