Today many of your favorite sites are April Fool‘n around.
For example, take Gmail’s MicDrop feature. It promises to give you the last word on your outgoing message.
I wish this feature did exist; it’d be a great way to silence those REPLY-TO-ALLers.
Update: Much like Orson Welles‘ radio broadcast of War of the Worlds this faux feature, was believed real. Citing a backlash of complaints, GMail quickly disabled this Aprils Fool’s joke
Past Tom Foolery has included Air BnB’s Bronze Era Rentals (pictured) complete with Trojan Horse, and Burger King’s left-handed sandwich wrapper.
This Year H&M is onboard with a Mark Zuckerberg line of clothing http://markforhm.com/
More faves and fails from 2016:
- Goggle: Lost Sock Search
- Google’s realBooks replaces eBooks
- Self Driving Bikes
- Duolingo’s Language pillow : learn language over night
Found one you want to share? Drop me a comment and I’ll add it to this post.
Cheers!
